Questions about retakes

Hi everyone,
I took physics1 and 2 in my previous university and made a C in both of them. I got 4 credits each for the the class. But, I want to retake them in my new school but they only give three credits for that same class. WIll aacomas replace the grade with less credits one (new grade) or will it be disregarded? Please let me know! Thanks🙂 I really appreciate it.

As far as I know, AACOMAS only replaces a grade if the class is worth the same or more credits than the class you are attempting to retake. If that is the case, then I do not think the grade will be replaced. 👎

You can give AACOMAS a call and explain the situation; they might be nice.

I had a similar experience with some other courses, they gave me credit for the 3 credit retake. Also some of my classes at a different uni were 4 credits but included the lab, then my retakes were 3 credit lecture and seperate 1 credit lab, and there is a way to enter it so they count it as a retake too, just fyi.

thank you for your replies guys, but the problem is that my physics lecture was 4 credits and the lab is 1 credit. So, total of 5 credits. When I want to take retake the lecture at a different university, they are giving me 3 credits for the lecture. So, that means there is still a difference of 1 credit for the lecture. WIll AACOMAS still replace the grade? PLease let me know! thanks in advance

I had a similar situation in which I took a chemistry course with the lab included (i got a D!) and when i retook it was just the lecture. AACOMAS did NOT i repeat DID NOT replace my grade. Both the D and the A were calculated into my overall GPA.

I hope they don't do that to you being a 4 credit D really killed me. However, I did get accepted so it doesn't totally rule out your chances.

thank you so much! I have border line GPA of 3.3 science and 3.4 cumm and me retaking that physics would really help my science GPA but I guess I screwed up🙁

I would seriously consider calling AACOMAS. They'll let you know for sure.
