OK so I did the online scheduling part, now I have to get my registrar to vouch for my identity.

I signed up for a 2 month window from May 1st to July 31st. Today's date is January 28th. I want to take the test on May 29th if possible.

Is this enough time in advance to get my test date? Or am I too late to get that test date?

I'm in the same boat, but a little further down the line. I'm waiting anxiously for my scheduling permit.

You should have no problem getting that test date. If for some reason, you can't get it at the center you want, what you do is get it at another close center. Keep checking daily and times open as soon as someone cancels or reschedules (in real time) - which happens often. Then you cancel your appt and take that one. Just be patient as those changes happen mainly closer to that test date. So in other words you shouldn't have a problem getting that date (probably even close to that date). for questions like this, check out this guide - http://www.gotmedbooks.com/insidepages_guide.php

Good luck,
