You should watch Chad's videos to figure out how to do this on paper by yourself. It will give you a greater understanding and make you feel way more confident on the exam.
Although my calculator on the computer for the DAT had a square root button on it, so you don't need to memorize. I'm not sure if every testing facility is the same across the country, however.
