Are the questions at the end of the 7 book series Kaplan lecture notes (the ones after each chapter) worth doing?? There are so many - I'm not sure if its worth it to do them as I watch the videos...any suggestions?

Thanks!

I think they are good just to keep you engaged in the previous chapter that you just read. They are not like the board questions but more of a review of certain key points. I skimmed through the physio and pharm ones and they look pretty nice for a recap.

Others might have some more feedback if they have been going through them much readily than I have. I just started my prep recently and was initially not going to do the lecture notes and swap for other review books but changed my mind.

So far the plan is to watch the vids w the books - then study the notes - then do the end of the chapter practice questions - then do UW

ugh..
looks horrific when i write out what i'm attempting to do

As someone who's going through the process, my suggestion would be: Watch the vids w/ the notes open in front of you first. Take notes of what they say into the book itself (I did it in red ink so it would stand out for when I skim the notes).

After you've gone through all the subjects like that, go through the Kaplan notes again on your own, focusing mostly on the stuff you added, using the text to clarify or conceptualize where necessary.

That's good advice and basically what I just started doing. I was initially not going to use the lecture notes and watch videos with review books - BIG MISTAKE! Fortunately I only did this for the first chapter of physio.

So I started and I finally finished the 1st section of Physio. At first I wasn't going to take any notes, then a line here, a line there. I began annotating as Captopril suggested. Man I dont know if its me or not but I ended up annotating SO MUCH from that first section that I think I forgot I was even watching a video! It was painful I think mainly because that big guy was so so....

Do you pre-read/skim the text and then watch and take notes? I got that you go back over it afterwards. I got scared when I stacked up all the books minus path! LOTS OF PAPER! 😱

I had to do a lot of rewinding because I can't write that fast or I lost my train of thought when he just went on. Man I hope I can finish all these videos 1x (hopefully by 1.5 months) and read through the notes 2x in 2.5 months. Test is in August. I just began pretty much. Looks like I am stuck with just the lecture notes, questions, goljan and first aid. It looks like most people take almost 4 months at least to finish what I am doing in ~3 🙁

How many hours a day are you all watching vs reading vs questions? 😕 I didn't want to speed up lectures as some people did here from the search because I can barely keep up writing down anything! For right now I had hopes of watching 6 hours video and split up the remaining 4-6 hours between reading the lecture notes and questions and some FA.

Good to know others are going through the lecture series and hopefully are feeling my pain! 😛
