Questions before I purchase a Indirect and Lenses

As 1st years, we are required to purchase lenses and and indirect.
1. Any recs on particular brand of lenses??
2. Anybody know the distributor with the best deal/prices??

1. Volk is what most people use, by far. Some people prefer the grips on Nikon lens. Nikon makes very nice lenses. They are probably better overall than Volk, but they're also heavier and more expensive.
As for indirect (keep in mind that this information is from when I bought them "a few" years ago), program directors often like Heine, because they're a little more robust, so they can take more abuse. Retina people tend to prefer Keeler, which has better optics (and, even as a non-retina person, I can tell you that I can see the difference).

2. Can't really help much with that, since it changes periodically.

Go for LOMBART Instruments. Best prices, especially with the resident discount (just ask for it).

If you want a 20D, try to find the Nikon. Way better optics than a Volk 20D.
But my preference is for the PanRet 2.2 or the Digital ClearField
