Questions for the Statistician

Hey all reaching out for some community help. I'm a EM resident with no research (none whatsoever) experience working on my scholarly project and I need to have a sit down with the statistician for some Q&A. I have no Q's. Any insight would be appreciated.

If your institution has an MPH program, you may be able to talk with them. They usually have a few statisticians on faculty that teach and may be willing to help.

you need to have the statistician explain to you the types of tests and core statistical principles you are going to use in the project (t-tests, regressions, 95% confidence intervals, p-values, covariates, confounders, etc). It will make things a lot easier if you understand what the numbers actually mean.
