hi
answer to q 1
is
pyruvate to OAA

answer to q 2
chondratin sulfate is most abundant

answer to q no 3
release of renin

answer to q no 4
cell membrane least permeable to Na

hope im right 🙂
if u need any explanation of these let me knw 👍

1 % = 10,000 ppm
therefore .05 % = 500 ppm

Q 2 which of the following restorations least likely to interfere with patients phsiologic maximum intercuspal position contacts
a--distolingual class 111 on max rt canine
b--MO on mand rt 1st premolar
c MOD on maxillary rt second premolar

i think answer to be [a]

Why cant the answer be b???
In normal intercuspation itself there is no contact of the MMR of mand 1st premolar with any other tooth.

thanks for the answers!

Q 1
if u see fate of pyruvate,
pyruvate-----------> oxaloacetic acid[ which goes to gluconeogenesis]
and the enzyme required is PDH
and if u see kaplan its written there
oxaloacetate is the intermediate step in gluconeogenesis
[ hope its not confusing]

Q3
its renin coz
when there is reduced renal blood flow ,juxta glomerular cells in the kidney stimulates teh renin which converts angiotensinogen 1 ----->angiotensinogen 11 which acts on DCT of kidney to release more aldosterone and thus more Na retention and leads to hypertension
[hope im clear]

hi can u explain why did u choose
fused roots as answer
does fused roots affect pdl d's prognosis and how?
also im pretty postive about answer Y shaped sulcus formed in Md 2nd PM
coz the Y shaped grrove is formed by central [which is crescent shaped and has mesial and distal developmental grooves going in mesial and distal direction from centre] and the lingual which goes lingually between ML & DL cusps!!
so according to me answer shd be lingual and central
let me knw how u arrived to ur answer
i actually checked in wheelers too

also if u see q 3
you said the most circular contact areas is in Mx 1st PM
can u tell me how?
i checked in wheelers ,it says that mesial contact area contacts MMR at almost rt angle[MX 1st PM]
and is distal is more rounded
also if u see since 1st PM is more pointed and 2nd Mx PM is more rounded so isnt the anser to be distal of Mx 2nd PM
PLZ DO EXPLAIN

Fused root ,all the pdl fibres are in proximity to a single /a fused root ,so destruction started at one ,will progresively damage the whole intact fibres
but in case of multiple roots, destuction of one root fibres is localised ,the rest of the roots have sound pdl fibres .means no destruction is spread .hence prognosis is good, where as fused roots all fibres r destoyed ,n so poor prognosis.
hope im not wrong ,if any mistake plz.correct me.

hi
we had discussed this q earlier and came to this answer
but today i was going through the q bank
and saw that according to their cuspal relations ,
the mandibular 1st PM occludes only with MMR of its class counterpart but NOT WITH CANINE
if we apply that to this q
we see abswer 1 is correct
plz correct if im interpreting this wrong 🙂
