Well, I decide on making this thread for all the questions I will be having for the next two weeks. Anyone else can post their questions also.

For question 101, why is A does not have a dipole while D does.

You can cut the trans both horizontally and vertically...while the cis one if you cut it vertically it works...but since it doesn't rotate...when you cut it horizontally they won't be equal halves.

Thanks! That clears it up.

When would it be shift to the right or will have no effect when dealing with an insoluble product?

For the first one...it is a precipitate (insoluble product)...it shifts to the right to product its corresponding ions ex. AgCl >>> Ag + Cl

For the second one...they give you a chemical equation and show you its properties (s), (aq), etc. Now they say they add the (s) molecule...so what happens to the reaction? Solids don't change the rate of reaction or equilibrium, so it won't change

I hope that helps...the questions can be sort of tricky
