Could someone plz help me solving these questions:

124. Which of the following processes occur after prolonged muscular exercise when oxygen debt is being paid?
a. Lactic acid in muscles continues to increase.
b. Most lactic acid undergoes gluconeogenesis in muscles.
c. Most lactic acid undergoes gluconeogenesis in the liver.
d. Most lactic acid undergoes gluconeogenesis in the brain and heart.

I think is C???

125. An analysis of an EKG shows P-waves occuring in the ST segment. This would indicate ectopic beats originating in the
a. Atria.
b. A-V node.
c. Lower portion of the Bundle of His.
d. Upper portion of the bundle of His.

I think is C ???

169. Which of the following explains why an increased filling of the ventricle during diastole causes a more forceful heart beat? The increased ventricular volume
a. Diminishes the refractory period of the ventricle.
b. Increases end-diastolic fiber length.
c. Facilitates conduction in the heart.
d. Produces a less than optimal load.

173. The process requiring a membrane and nonpenetrating solutes (e.g. proteins) BEST describes which of the following?
a. Osmosis.
b. Diffusion.
c. Epithelial transport.
d. Facilitated diffusion.

Ans: D.

176. Which of the following statements BEST describes GTP-binding proteins (G-Proteins)?
a. Are important components of steroid hormone signal transduction.
b. Catalyze the reaction which produces diacylglycerol/
c. Are tightly bound to adenylate cyclase.
d. Usually inactivate protein kinase C.
e. Are membrane proteins.

184. Cushing's syndrome is characterized by each of the following conditions EXCEPT one. Which one is this exception>
a. Increased protein anabolism.
b. Increased androgen levels.
c. Hyperglycemia.
d. Hypertension.
e. Hyperkalemia.

Have a, but not sure.

Please help, or correct me if I am wrong.

1. Each of the following affects heights of cusps and depths of fossae on restoration except one.Which is the exception?

Curve of spee
Intercondylar dist
Vertical overlap of ant teeth
Horiz overlap of ant teeth
Steepness of Articular eminence
choice 4 horizontal overlap of ant teeth

2.From Sagittal view, which teeth have long axes at an angle least perpendicular to occ plane.

hI,
Could you plz explain how does the horizontal overlap not affect height of cusps?I thought it was intercondylar distance.
And also if the horizontal overlap is more, psterior cusp height should be less.

i think i read somwwhere increasing intercondylar distance increses the width of fossae.
do correct me if u think of more appropriate choice.thanks

increasing intercondylar distance widens the fossae.
do correct me if u think of more appropriate choice.thanks

hey guys, help please

155) From saggital plane progressing anteriorly, axial inclination of anterior teeth

a.remains vertical
b.inclines facially
c.inclines mesially
d.inclines distally
e.inclines lingually

Thanks

And also if the horizontal overlap is more, psterior cusp height should be less.

On pp. 145 of Okeson's book "Management of Temporomandibular Disorders and Occlusion," it says...

Vertical Determinants of Occlusal Morphology (cusp height and fossa depth) are: Condylar guidance, anterior guidance (vertical & horizontal overlap), plane of occlusion, curve of spee, and lateral translation of movement.

Horizontal Determinants of OcclusaL Morphology (ridge & groove direction) are: distance from rotating condyle, distance from midsagittal plane, lateral translation movement, and intercondylar distance.

So, i think the answer to the question below is intercondylar distance.

Question: Each of the following factors affects heights of cusps and depths of fossae on restorations EXCEPT one. Which one is this EXCEPTION?
A. Curve of Spee
B. Intercondylar distance
C. Vertical overlap of anterior teeth
D. Horizontal overlap of anterior teeth
E. Steepness of articular eminence

isn't 124 - a ?

I know someone posted this but I can't find it.

137. When the posterior teeth contact more heavily than the anterior teeth in closure, and the anterior teeth disclude the posterior teeth in eccentric movement, the condition is known as

Cr-co discrepancy
Mutually protected occlusion.

I think mutually protected but Cr-co discrepancy is circled.
