Hi guys, this is my first post on here. I am currently in my second semester of my sophmore year in college and I wanted to know of my EC's looked solid enough so far.

Shift manager at Dunkin Donuts(2 years)
Volunteer for 1 year at Grady (300 hours)
Volunteered abroad for 3 months (250 hours)
Member of Psychology Club(2 semesters)
Member of Astronomy Club( 3 semesters)
Associate member of Beta Beta Beta (3 semesters)

You need clinical experience. Have you tried shadowing any doctors? I'd also recommend volunteering at a hospital.

If research interests you, you may also want to think about joining a lab in the next couple of semesters, but research isn't critical.

Other than those two things, your ECs look good.

Grady is the hospital associated with Emory medical school so I think OP is good with clinical volunteering. Shadowing in primary care and a few specialities is a good idea. Also a longitudinal non clinical volunteering experience would be a nice plus.

Research if you're interested in top 20s/other research heavy institutions but doesn't have to necessarily be scientific bench work.

Added: membership in interest clubs isn't a huge draw if you weren't an active, contributing member or in some kind of leadership position, but it's hard to judge your involvement from how you've presented it.

Otherwise really solid start and good luck!

I'll try to get into research for my junior and senior years. My college has a HUGE emphasis on research. Thanks!
