Questions on RC and G-chem

Hello everyone,

I am preparing for the DAT test now, and have a few questions regarding DAT. I would really appreciate it if someone can help me with them.

For the reading section, is the paragraphs of the passages labeled(ex. 1,2,3...) and are we allowed to highlight the passage? I don't mean to permanently mark it, but just to use the mouse highlight the text while i read. Somehow, I found the highlighted blue background contrast the words better for me and it's easiler for me to read.

As for Gchem, are the constants usually given in the problems or are we responsible for memorizing them? (ex. R, F, h, e- mass,.....) If we have to memorize them, what are some of the constants that I should remember? I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything..... 😛

Yes, the paragraphs are numbered. Unfortunately you cannot highlight any text. You can point, click, and drag across a section of text, but as soon as you click anywhere else on the screen the highlighted area is gone. If you like reading text in profile, then simply highlight the whole passage - though you'll have to repeat it for each question.

In regards to the constants, I was given all of the ones I needed. So you don't have to worry a bit about trying to remember the gas constant and so on. I did have a question asking me to convert degrees Celsius into degrees Fahrenheit, so be familiar with that equation. As a matter of fact, I really didn't have to solve many problems. Most of the answers are in the form a rearranged equation and you have to determine which one has the numbers plugged in the right places.
