Hi everyone!

I have a few questions. I will applying next fall to occupational therapy schools! Yikes, I'm stressing already! When should I take the GRE's? Also, when you applied to OT schools, did they ask what organizations you were a part of in college? Thanks in advance!

You should take your GREs as early as possible. Most schools don't care how many times you take them--they will take the highest score. So take them early just in case...you should aim for higher than 1000. Most schools will ask about organizations that you were a part of, if they don't, then find a way to show it to them. You can mention them in your personal statement, essays, resume, have individuals who are writing recommendations mention them. Good luck!

I would also suggest to shadow in various facilities. With my circumstances I didn't observe different facilities and still have gotten interview offers but if you are able to observe in different settings, it will give you an edge because you will know for sure what population you are inclined to work with. I was asked about my observation hours regarding type of facility it was, population, and elaborate on that experience. Good Luck!
