Hey all, newly minted 4th year here. I'm looking into a few programs on VIRMP for small animal rotating internships next year. I know there are intern surveys, but not all hospitals have results, so I'm going to reach out to current interns via email to ask them about their specific programs. I planned to visit some of these hospitals on externships, but those were obviously cancelled due to COVID. Not sure if/when I will be able to see these places and meet anyone in person.
I like a variety of things (surgery, ER, cardio) but haven't pinpointed any specialty that I 100% love yet, so unsure if a residency is even in my future. I was hoping my clinical rotations would help me decide...but here we are 🙄
Question: what kinds of things are important to ask about to determine the quality of the internship? I want to have some well thought out questions for them to answer! Thanks!
