Questions to ask on interview day

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Yeah. This is a good question. I'd also like to know.

Interviewers can hold almost any position within the school or at an affiliated clinical site. This leads to two important realizations:

1) Your interviewer may not know the answer to all/many/or even ANY of your questions

2) If you're trying to think of some questions ahead of time, you should think of one or two for each of the main types of interviewers:

a) Basic science faculty (PhD)
b) Clinical faculty/preceptor (DO/MD)
c) Current student (MSI-IV)

Wouldn't you just ask them questions about the school? Or do you mean individual personal questions?

hey I have a second question that's related to this, but reversed. I ran across a thread or post somewhere in which there was a link to a list of questions that interviewers ask interviewees, but there are so many threads and post that I've lost track of it. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Otherwise, I can just do a general online search for some questions. Thanks for any help!

For questions that you may be asked, look here

I asked my interviewers:
What brought you to this school?
(I had one M.D. and one Ph.D. and was interviewing at a fairly new school)
but regardless of degree, that would be the question that I would ask about why these faculty/staff like the school.

I don't know of the particular thread you're talking about, but a good resource is SDN interview feedback:

A lot of people here will list the questions they were asked during their interviews, and also mention other aspects of the interview, such as the layout/format of the interview, what parts of the school or program positively or negatively impacted them, etc.
