Hi,
I am going to be a junior in college. I am going to visit to the University of Cincinnati SMP in a couple of weeks. I was wondering what questions I should ask about the program and what else I should find out from the admissions office about the program?

What percent of last year's SMP class were accepted?

Is there a guaranteed interview?

What is the timeline of the SMP?

What kind of academic support is available for students?

How is admission from the SMP determined? Is there a strict cutoff GPA-wise? If so, how many students in the program scored above that mark?

What percent of last year's SMP class were accepted?

I would make this question more specific, like " How many were accepted to this SMP-sponsoring med school, how many got into other allopathic programs, and how many entered DO med schools." It seems to me that most SMPs lump all their acceptance stats together without being specific about where their students end up. You might also inquire about correlation between average GPAs earned in the SMP and which institutions acceptances came from.
