Hello . I hope this is the right place to post this .

I'm a 14 year old boy dreaming of becoming a pharmacist . I do have a few questions . Hope you guys can answer them !

Question 1 : How much do Pharmacists get monthly ?

Question 2 : I've heard there are different types of Pharmacists . What is that supposed to mean ?

Question 3 : What is a Flexible Schedule ?

Question 4 : How and When do I start actually studying to become a Pharmacist ?

Question 5 : How much are the school payments ? Per Year .

Question 6 : Are you satisfied with being a Pharmacist ? Personal opinions / Pro and Con's for this question please ! 🙂

They make about 100K + anually, depending on what area you live in

Question 2 : I've heard there are different types of Pharmacists . What is that supposed to mean ?
There are pharmacists that work in different types of settings such as retail, while other pharmacists work in hospital settings.
Question 3 : What is a Flexible Schedule ?
40 hours a week like M-F 9-5
Question 4 : How and When do I start actually studying to become a Pharmacist ?
Since you know what you want to do from now, I recommend you apply to colleges that have linkages with pharmacy schools. That way it will take you 6 years instead of 8 after high school to become a pharmacist. College is 4 years and Pharmacy School is 4 years.
Question 5 : How much are the school payments ? Per Year .
Depends on where you go

They make about 100k per year (not sure monthly but you can do the math) depending on your location. In my opinion, this should not be the first question to ask about the profession.

You can do retail, clinical etc. Some pharmacists specialize in certain fields like oncology, nuclear pharmacy etc.

Question 3 : What is a Flexible Schedule ?
M-F 9-5 for the most part working 40 hrs a week, even though you can have different work schedules depending on where you practice pharmacy.

Question 4 : How and When do I start actually studying to become a Pharmacist ?
IMO, I would say when you get out of HS.

Question 5 : How much are the school payments ? Per Year .
This varies vastly depending on the Pharmacy school.

Question 6 : Are you satisfied with being a Pharmacist ? Personal opinions / Pro and Con's for this question please ! 🙂

You should read some of those 1600 posts before you start name-calling the pre-pharm forum's most frequent and valuable contributor.

I would expect a 14 year old to know how to use the search function on a website - or at least google, as the majority of the questions asked are easily answered by a simple google search.

This is a constantly rehashed old topic. The only thing he left out was, "Zomg, I heard there was going to be automation and we were going to be replaced by robots like on NURSE JACKIE! Is it troo!?"

Google is good. A 14-year old should know this by now, he's probably used it to search for porn already.

Are you for real, seriously? This up and coming generation is so lazy, it's unfathomable.

Furthermore, it's not like I called the guy an idiot or anything. It was a sarcastic quip at how over done this questions and answers thing is, when all the Q&A can easily be handled by Wikipedia or Google. But hey, whatever! And it's closer to 1700 posts, thank you. Round up! Not entirely sure how that comment makes me "immature", just extremely tired of all these people who can't think for their god damn selves anymore.

You're 14, probably just entered high school. Enjoy your life before you start college. Smoke a blunt or something, relax. Go through HS first before you figure out your career choice.

Get through high school first and then worry about the rest of your life. You'll change your mind about careers a million times before then!
