Hi guys,

I am planning to take the MCAT in June 27th July 2012, I wonder will it be too late? I heard people said that early applicants have an advantage but I also heard that AAMC takes 60 days to confirm the application so it will be fine but I have to submit the application without the MCAT score and get the ball rolling.

Thankyou!

I don't think that's too late, but that's assuming that you submit your app at around the same time as when you take the test so that your app gets verified around the same time as when your score is released. Sometimes that can be tricky to organize your app while you should be finalizing your MCAT studying.

You can check out how long it took to be verified for SDNers during this most recent cycle here http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=820933

Not sure if you meant June or July, but either way at that point you are looking at 4-6 weeks verification time. If you submit after taking the test (late June), you're still considered early. If you submit late July, then you're getting a bit late but still not "late". If you can manage making a good application while studying for the MCAT, then there is no point in holding off this cycle.

Haha I didn't catch that

Ya, it almost got me. Its easy to skim through sentences and pick up just the
the important words/easiest flowing sentence structure, while skipping repeats or contradictions.
