I am trying to figure this out:

In metabolism: with regard to catabolic reactions and anabolic reactions. Which one is reductive and which is oxidative?

Is each one always the same?
 
catabolism is oxidative, i believe. you input a species, which lose electrons. for instance, glucolysis losing electrons of NADH. NADH gets oxidized in the ETC to make ATP.
