I am making up my schedule for MCAT studying this summer, and I'm wondering: just because it's so much information to remember, would it be useful to take two weeks out between finishing content review and starting full-lengths to study just from the notes I've made, and formula/equation sheets, and Kaplan flashcards, etc.?

As in--not spending time on problems, necessarily, but just going over the actual information in depth all together, to kind of sort it out in my head and recall some of the things I may not have looked at in a while.

Has anyone else done this, or thinks this is a good idea? Is it a waste of two weeks when I could be doing something else?

Oh, I'm sorry. I just reread my post and realized that I was very unclear.

Obviously attempting to study without doing any practice problems would be a terrible plan.

I am talking about: first doing content review, with practice problems, for 1-2 months, and THEN taking two weeks to focus on just reviewing all the information, followed by 1-2 months of full-length practice.

I'm just wondering if anyone else feels like it's hard to start taking full-lengths without kind of going over all the information in a shorter time span, and making sure it's all organized in your head, so to speak.

I hope I'm being clearer...

IMO and from what I've gathered on here..you might be hard pressed to find that many FLs to spread over two months at a frequency that will allow you to "ramp up" bf the test without burning out or running out of exams..I dunno there are lots of practice test so maybe it could work..you would just need to be sure you didn't run out of tests/gas..say you did 4 a week at 8 weeks thats 32 test...if you feel that you can reach and sustain a momentum in the later part of the FL period, i say go for it..however i would make sure you have finished sufficient content review bf embarking on the test part of your prep...(i'm sure you know that..i'm just saying) i read on here about a guy that was taking test every other day and his scores started to crest and then decline a little.. he then immediately rescheduled his test for a date which was ASAP so he could test at a time which was peak for him..just be self aware of burnout and have enough exams and you'll do fine....good luck and i hope you kick this test in the teeth!!

I think taking 4 a week is pretty unrealistic. 2 a week sounds about right, combined with reviewing all of your answers.
