How do you save pictures from a website to your hard drive?
Basically what is the equivalent to right-click -> save as?

I want to make the switch from PC to Mac and have been using our Mac in the research lab but there are just some things I can't do yet.

Thanks,
BB

ctrl+mouse click will bring up window's right click menu. It's very simple.

If you get the new intel based mac's, the alternative way to do it is to use two fingers on the mouse pad instead of one.

It's much simpler than CTRL + mouse clicking.

Just drag the picture to your desktop. It's now saved on your desktop. If you open up the folder where you want to save the image, you can drag it from Safari/IE/Firefox/browser of choice directly to that folder.

How simple is that? Drag and drop works with EVERY Macintosh program. You can drag an image from your webpage directly to an iChat instant message chat.

not always...but most of the time! 🙂

My new baby is in Alaska right now getting ready to fly to Indy....soon it will be MINE!
