how do you guys estimate these kinds of problems quickly, kaplan explains it but i don't get it, anyone has a simpler way of figuring it out?

answer is 80,000

Well, look at the choices first and see if they are close, if not then estimate

480/0.006 ~ 480000/6 ~ 80,000

or

48x10^1/6x10^-3 = 8x10^4 = 80,000
