Quick OAT question

I took the OAT about a month ago and I'm taking it again soon. I can't quite remember exactly, but what Anatomy/Physiology stuff should I study before? I have yet to take this class so I'd like to just hit the main things to get a quick overview of it. I know it's impossible to understand it all, but like I said, I haven't taken the class yet. Thanks.

For physiology vs. anatomy, physiology is much more important for the OAT. There is a lot of material there, and it's unfortunate you cannot take the class first. Just to give you some examples, you'll want to know the digestive pathway (particularly the various enzymes, what they do and where/how they are secreted and/or regulated), the action potential mechanism of nerves, the filtration mechanism of the kidneys, and there's plenty of other topics as well.

Thanks! I got the Kidney function down. Just not sure what else. Kidney function has been on every practice test and was on the OAT the last time I took it. So I definitly remember that 🙂

I heard Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, and Microbiology are the four classes you won't regret taking as these will be revisited in the first two years of optometry program ...

I remember the questions that always throw me off and that I have to flash memorize right before the exam is always the one about embryonic origin.

ie The retina of the eye originates from....Ectoderm, Mesoderm, Endoderm, Spiky Fern? Crap like that.
