i know, i know...

before anyone grills me... i promise i did search through recent posts but couldn't really find the answer i was looking for.

in any event, is the 4,500 character limit on our personal statement with or without spaces? also, can it be a good number UNDER 4,500 characters? mine comes in at about 3,000 without spaces and 3,600 with spaces.

i can elaborate here and there to get it to closer to 4,500, but i don't really want it to be too wordy.

with spaces included

Yeah with spaces. A good personal statement does not have to be close to the limit. Some ppl may even say the more concise the better since adcoms have to read so many of them. gl

Since we're talking logistics...

Does double spacing come into play here?

Meaning if I make it double spaced will the double spacing eat up my writing space?

Why you would do that I have no idea, but yes...

if you look on the page of the essay i believe it clearly says including spaces. its called reading directions. My friend tried to save space on his by not spacing anything and the adcoms really look down on that so don do it. hehe
