Hi <3

The question is...

"Myron decides to buy a stock for $9 a share. Myron sees his stock skyrocket to $80 before he sells it. If he sells the stock for $80, what percent did his stock increase by?"

a) 720%
b) 840%
c) 800%
d) 889%
e) 900%

Thank you soooo much.
Wish you all thee very best!

How did you know to subtract (80-9)?

I would've just done 9(x%)=80...

Instead of what you did. Haha :( The correct answer is 800%

Correct answer would have been 800% if the final price was 81 instead of 80.

Original price: $9
Stock price: $18 = 100% increase
Stock price: $27 = 200% increase
Stock price: $36 = 300% increase
Stock price: $45 = 400% increase
Stock price: $54 = 500% increase
Stock price: $63 = 600% increase
Stock price: $72 = 700% increase
Stock price: $81 = 800% increase
