How long are real MCAT tests? The AAMC practice tests are PS 52, VR 40, BS 52.

HOWEVER when you log into your e-mcat account and click the tab labeled "How is the MCAT scored" it gives you two very different scales for every test.

One scale labeled "MCAT Practice Test" lists the number of questions as the 52, 40, 52 scale mentioned above...

The other labeled "MCAT FUll Length" contains many more questions...77, 60, 77.

What is going on? Thanks!

lol

Those are the old ones. The Current is 52 40 52. I know I'm right because I took the CBT.

bravo

The "Full length tests" are the old paper format. Just use the CBTs, that is what the actual modern MCAT is like.

I would recommend taking some of the Old FL AAMCs to build stamina and give you more materials to work on....

it made the CBT version feel alot shorter and I was more refreshed....🙂

Where did you get the Old Full Lengths? I remember trying to get them (a year ago when I was studying for the MCAT) and I couldn't find them. I had access to all the CBTs through the kaplan course though.

I really really want the Old Full Lengths, because I already finished all the CBTs and if I can get my hands on the old full lengths, its almost like I'll have 5 more practice tests.

I am only going to retake the test if I am sure that I can get better than my first score. And I don't consider the Kaplan, EK, or Berkeley practice tests as good predictors of your real mcat scores. So right now, I have no way to gauge myself since I am done with all the AAMC CBTs

The old paper FL AAMCs are the same test as the new CBTs.

They just cut out some of the passages to make the new shorter CBTs.

So, you will only be getting a few new passages per AAMC test.

I think you can get them at e-mcat.com or PM me.

Yeah true. I know the 52 questions in the new CBT all come from the Old Full Lengths. But the Old Full Lengths would have 23 questions that the new CBT's don't have. And any extra questions would be valuable. I really wish the AAMC would release more tests, but I guess they won't be for a while.

I'll PM you in the future if I do indeed decide to start studying for a retake. Thanks.
