Quick question about application timeline

Hey all,

I am applying broadly to both MD and DO programs. I have sent in my amcas long ago, but recently decided to also complete my DO app just in case, since I want to avoid going to the Caribbean if possible. I know that for the MD apps, most everyone agrees that sending in the application by mid july is preferable, and anything later than that might be too late...is there a similar benchmark for DO apps?

I have my app almost complete and plan on sending in my AACOMAS app in the next few days...does anyone have any advice as to whether this is statistically too late to be competitive for for the 2010 cycle?

No it is not too late, but you want to send it in ASAP. AACOMAS takes about 4-6 weeks to be verified so it is considerable longer than AMCAS.
