Quick question about DAT

Just out of curiosity, do schools use DAT for anything other than admissions? I remember when registering for DAT I checked a box that would make my scores available to schools for recruiting purposes and that made me curious. Does getting a super high AA open up any other doors for you in terms of scholarships, opportunities, etc??
