I don't think so, but the MCAT is cheaper!!!

Does anyone know if the FAP covers cost of AAMC practice exams? Or at least help with the cost? Thanks!

They may or may not be free in pdf form on the Internet. Not that I condone that sort of thing...

Unfortunately, FAP does not cover practice tests. It's worth it for everything else though.

FAP lowers the cost of your actual MCAT and it also covers the primary application fee of schools that use AMCAS (I believe up to 10 or 12?) And many schools waive secondary fees as well if you qualify for FAP.

p.s. you also get a guide book of some kind from AMCAS

It was 14 schools on the primary. And practically every school waves the secondary fee.

Umm... Like the first 14 or so are free and then after that every school is $34. MCAT is reduced to $85 dollars, although i think that is going up next year. And, you get a cool book. Definitely worth it in my opinion-it was great.

Just make sure you apply for it with plenty of time, I've heard of applicants that were not able to benefit from most of its benefits due to late applications (had to pay for primaries but not secondaries). I agree that they should let us take some practice exams for free... I spent a lot of $ on those. Either way, good luck on your MCAT!

Oh ok, thanks for the information you guys. Sucks that the FAP does not cover practice exams. But I'll definitely have to use it when I apply in 2013. I'd look for PDFs, but I want that feeling of a realistic mcat by answering questions on a computer, you know?

Well, you do get AAMC #3 for free, but so does everyone else.

I'm poor but didn't qualify for fap because of my parent's income. Too bad it's inaccessible to me. Anyway, I did online pdf versions for AAMC 3-8 then purchased 9-11 to simulate real test. It really isn't that big of a deal though.
