I have shadowed quite a bit and am comfortable speaking about cavity fillings, root canals, tooth extractions, wisdom tooth extractions, and crown implantation and possibly tooth whitening but have no seen any other type of dental procedure. Are there any other dental procedures I should be informed about for the interview?

I doubt they will ask you all that much about specific dental procedures.....they may ask about your experience while shadowing.......
go to the interview link on sdn website (at the top) and look up the school for specific questions that they like to ask.....that's what you should focus on
GOOD LUCK!

I agree with pinhi. IF they ask you about dentistry, ti will be about your experiences and why you want to be a dentist. But, they will not ask you about specifics unless you start talking about being an orthodontist, endodontist, etc becasue then they might want to know why/what made you want that specialty. Otherwise, you will be fine just talking about your experiences.

One thing I know about interviews is that answers should come from your heart, from your relaxed tone, from your posture while giving eye contact, not "prepared" answers before hand. I've done interviews to others (at work) and I can smell someone who memorized an answer before they even start speaking, you can see these things from their posture, their tone, the way their eyes "subconsciously" shift around to try to recall a memorized answer lol.

When they ask you a question, answer it comfortably to the best of YOUR KNOWLEDGE, don't try to impress the people by over complicating or over talking.... Just be honest, and have fun, these people are interviewing you because they LIKE you, give them a reason to like you even more 🙂

Good luck
