Hi everyone!

Hopefully everyone is prepared to take the august PCAT. It's in 8 days!!

Anyways, I was wondering about the organic chemistry section. Do they ask questions where they give you the reactants and you need to predict what the product would look like or what it is..or do you just need to know the reaction type?

Also, i've read that you needed to know about stereochemistry. Is it really simple like just knowing/identifying diastereomers, chirality, and enantiomers?

Thanks so much!

I can't speak in general, but on the June PCAT a good percentage of the organic questions dealt with predicting the products of a reaction. There was also nothing on stereochemistry at all...but that doesn't mean there couldn't be.
