I have borrowed PTCE test material from my dad, who took a class to prepare for the exam. However, he took the class in 1999, so the booklets are 12 years old now. I was told that the PTCE test has changed a lot since then, so I was wondering if it is ok to use them to study for the PTCE test? My test is next week, so if this isn't sufficient, is there something online that can help me? I don't have time to buy a book since I have classes to worry about too.

Also regarding the test material itself, how much coverage of drug names and drug function is going to be on the exam? I was wondering because I'm having a hard time memorizing all these drugs, so I'm thinking about skipping the top 100/200 drugs, drug functions, pharmacology etc.

Thanks in advance.

Grab a used copy of Mosby's off Amazon. If you skip all of that material (top 200, pharm, generic v brand, classes) you could shortchange yourself. You better learn them now, because if you apply for a job, you'll be expected to know them.

Does anyone know of any free online practice tests?
