Quick question about the AADSAS application...

Hey guys, I'm really new to student doctor... and I'm sorry if I posted this topic in the wrong section.

I just had a quick question...

I've been filling out the AADSAS application for some time now, and a lot of my information is saved on the application. I was suppose to send in my application to dental schools for the entering class of 2010. The problem is that I have to complete some courses that are in my minor, which are only offered in the Fall semester. I decided to wait and apply for next year's entering class so I can complete my minor, and I really didn't have a choice. My question is: How long will all my information be saved on the AADSAS website? Will it all be there until I apply, or will they discard all my information?

I apologize if this a stupid question, but I can't seem to find the answer in the frequently asked questions.

I would greatly appreciate any help...

The app cycle closes soon, not sure when. When the app cycle closes all of the stuff you entered into AADSAS is wiped out and you have to make a new account and restart. Plus every year they change up (which they call "upgrade" which really isn't that much of an upgrade) their entire online app.


So basically if I were you I would log onto AADSAS and print out my application so you have an idea of what to expect next year and maybe even fill out some parts of the app in advance (like preparing a new personal statement). Don't worry I was in a similar position because my minor was going to be difficult to finish before graduation. That's why I put off some easier classes in my minor until now and since these classes are offered a lot each semester (marketing and management) I could get them done now before May.

just copy paste the info into word... if you never sent it in, why write a new personal statementl. Yes, it sucks you have to re-enter coursework but its not that much effort. You will be ready to go when June roles around!

I was in the same boat last cycle.. I wasn't on top of it and lost all my stuff when AADSAS cleared their 2009 cycle data. I believe this was sometime in April but I'm not 100% sure.. so to be safe, i would advise you to copy your stuff into Word now.
