quick question about timing of results of do match

How much earlier?
My results for the MD match came at like 11:50 am. I think they may send them out a little early to account for some people's mail delivery being slower than others and not wanting people to freak out over not getting their results by 12.
I hope you get good news. :luck:

some people said they got results before 12 last year, that would freak me out, is this a common thing?

If you read the AOA website (or the NRMP website for that matter), they specify that results are posted to the website at 12 noon Eastern Standard Time.

If you lived in, say, Chicago, your results would probably come in before noon.

I got my match result at 9:am EST. They did state on their website that match results wouldn't be out until noon. I checked earlier.

The email was actually timestamped 8:38am EST. I just didn't check until 9 or 9:30 that morning.
I don't know if my classmates got theirs that early - I was on a rotation and checked my email between patients.

was the first email you got from the national matching program or from the individual program?

/had a friend get a one word email from a PD saying "congratulations" the night before SF match results were to be released last month.
//I told her to immediately report such a flagrant violation. 😀

Match program. I got a phone call from my PD at noon (which I missed being with patients).
