When is the latest I can write my Step 1 and still be qualified to apply for ophtho programs this year?

I checked the USMLE section but it's all over the place.
Thanks guys.

if "write" means "take", you generally need to allow six weeks from the time you sit for the exam to receive your score report. to all students who are thinking of applying to a residency that goes through SF MATCH, SAVE THAT SCORE REPORT AND PUT IT IN A SAFE PLACE, you need to submit it with your application to SF MATCH. If you loose it (like I did), you have to pay a nice little $50 fee to reuqest a USMLE transcipt from the NBME which can be submitted to SF MATCH in lieu of the score report.
