Quick question' retaking classes

Hello ,
I'm planning to retake at least 6-7 classes. But my premed advisor told me its too much and not to do it 😡 he thinks 7 it's a lot..
How many retakes its too much??? I don't really know what to do ( even thou I want to retake them because I received c- and c's on those classes ... 3 are bio's one math others are non science classes..😛
Is it okay to retake C+ ..?

It would be helpful to know your gpa and what your timeline for application is like. And yes, you can retake a C+. But you better get an A in the class 😀

That being said, 7 classes is not too much. Especially for DO, retaking classes can save your GPA. Take it from a person who has benefited immensely from this rule.

What's the bigger factor is why didn't you do well the first time around and not the number of retakes. You should have good rationale for that, and you should make sure that you improve the second time. Try not to get discouraged, it's things like this that make or break us.

7 retakes is a lot. It's better to retake a lot of classes than to have a lot of Cs though.

I've read here that adcoms don't delve too deeply into your gpa. They just look at your main GPAs and see what it is. That said, I had about 7-8 c in my prereqs and have been retaking them lol. Unfortunately for student loan reasons I had to retake a b! Not fun it was a 2.5 hour /4 day a week history class. Oh god don't retake b's if you can help it. The c'a will make your gpa jump dramatically

Thank you for your advice . I'm not planning to retake B's and yes I think it's horrible to retake classes you got b 😳. My gpa it's around almost 3.0 I'm definitely planning to retake those 7 classes .. Are you attending medical school'

nope. trying to finish up retaking a few classes and organics, then hopefully applying next june-ish.
