Hi, I'm kind of nervous, so I had to ask a question. I know a lot of people say that dental schools look really hard at your trend of grades at time of application etc. Well, I have a 3.63 right now, but I'm taking three science courses this semester (Ecology, Micro, and Genetics). If I get a C in Micro and B's in the other two it will drop my GPA down to 3.53. Will dental schools look at this as a bad sign, or will they consider the courses a little and deem it normal. What do you think they'll think. I know, I'm overly paranoid, but I do need to sleep on this, so for my wife's sake so she doesn't go insane around me, just humor me with an honest answer. Thanx, Kenny

it wouldnt matter at all, your 3.6 vs 3.5 gpa, you still way above the rest of the pack...a C wouldnt kill you, especially since youre stellar gpa has proven youself.

I would strive to get at least all B's as this will show that you can juggle several science courses. But a C in your case shouldn't be a killer at all.

Occasional blips in an otherwise consistent pattern of solid academic performance are nothing to worry about. You're still in excess of 3.5 even if you have a bad semester, which suggests to me you're in pretty good shape.

I got similar question.Please help me~!
I am missing too many classes and didn't have much time to study for the test because of the interviews, I think I will get several Cs and low Bs for this semester.
I am worried that what if i get waitlist after Dec. 1 and if the schools request for academic update?
Would the GPA of this semester affect the acceptance?? 😱

Hey, what happened to your EYE?????? Are you ok?

And to answer your question:
I think you will be ok. Sometimes their are "those" professors that never give A's or there are "those" classes that are just plain hard. Don't worry about it. You did your best. The hard part is learning to accept that.

is that you in the picture? what happened to your eye!!! :scared:
