I will be interview at UT-Houston in December. This university system has two residency programs at two different hospitals. However, because of time constraints I was only able to apply and make it one of the two. I chose based on what residents at my home program who went their for med school told me, faculty opinions, and based on the numbers I found on the web.

So here is the question...Does it look bad (i.e., appear that I am disinterested) that I will be interviewing at only one of the two programs?
The interview days at the two programs are one day apart (which I did not know until about 2 weeks ago...and I wish I would have known 2 months ago).

Sorry... maybe a dumb question, but are the programs combined? It seems like it would be acceptable if they ask you about it to use time constraints as a reason. Is there any differences in the programs, particular strengths of one over the other that you could discuss as a reason?
