Anyone applying right now with sub 200 scores on both step 1 and 2? I just wanted to know if anyone is in this situation and is an img. I am going to be applying next year and would love to get some feedback as to how many I should apply to and where I should apply.
THanks

Looking at the NRMP data, there were 38 applicants to ObGyn last year who were non-US MD's with scores under 200. 11 of those were accepted (29%).

Maybe just my math, but looks like the data from NRMP from last years match supports quite a few more applicants successfully matching with lower scores.
out of 89 with <=190 only 13 unmatched! 148 with <=200 only 9 unmatched.
May go to prove that scores alone do not a good applicant/clinician make. If you are well rounded and motivated, I would definitely roll the dice if you at least passed on first attempts for Step 1 & 2. Good luck.

I think y'all are talking about the same data. The earlier poster was speaking of only IMGs. It's doable - that's the bottom line. Good luck.

My scores are below desirable (step 1 <180 and step 2- just finished) and several programs seem to at least want to interview me. I don't know how the match will go but I just need one program to want me.

I am not personally in that position (though my scores are not that far above the 200 mark) but I have a good friend who is who has already gotten several interviews. I have every confidence that she will match and make a fabulous OB
