I finished my 2 yrs from a communinty college with a 3.9gpa. When i go to the 4 yr university does that gpa start all over or does the 3.9 carry over? And when I apply to dental school will the two gpas combine? lets say I have the 3.9 with a 3.3 from the university. Thanks...

Ok what ive heard is that they will average the two together. I, personally, never did CC but AADSAS asks for transcripts from "every school that you attended" so of course youll want to get your transcripts from your CC. Dental schools will probably take into consideration the difficulty of your college years, the fact that obviously you didn't do as well in a 4 year University than in CC (which is probably to be expected), etc. etc. But I think you'll be just fine with good DAT scores and experience. 🙂

AADSAS will put all of your undergraduate work into one larger cumm GPA, a BCP GPA, and other science GPA. These categories will involve all of the coursework regardless of how many schools you attended in undergrad. However, your schools usually will only consider the coursework at that institution for school awards/deans lists/etc.

You should double check the schools you are applying to as some d-schools have limitations on prereqs taken at a CC.
