quick question

I just have a quick question. I'm taking this class called Humane Education with Companion Animals and it's listed under Animal Science. It says that Animal Sciences should be listed in the science gpa so can i count this as a science class?

Although I am not 100% positive, I believe that it is calculated into your science GPA. I was told by an advisor that all science class grades, math class grades, and computer [science] grades are all considered sciences and should be calculated with your GPA. It's weird that science classes that have nothing to do with med. school are calculated into the science GPA, isn't it? LOL. I guess in a way it's good though (can boost up science GPA).

Math is included in science classes. Science classes are classified as BCPM or...

Biology classes (including that animal sciences class)
Chemistry classes
Physics classes
Mathematics classes



Any variable of the sorts coutns (ie, lots of physical anthropology classes fall under the umbrella of biology). All schools are pretty liberal as to what classes you classify as a science class, however, dont be stupid and say a Spanish class is biology or something like that.

Thanks for the clarification everyone, I really appreciate it. Someone had posted this awhile back about what is included in the science gpa and for podiatry school I don't think you include math. Here's the link...... it's on pgs 12-13

For Podiatry Math is not included as Science...if that was the case my GPA would be much higher...LOL!🙄 I believe its considered science for MD and DO apps., but not for Pod.🙁 You should definately read the instructions in detail before filling out the application.

yea, i've spoken to a few advisors from some pod schools and they said math could be included. i guess it depends on the school
