Hello Everyone,
I had a quick question. I took a course while in my last semester of high school, and it continued till the August before I entered college. It was at a community college, and it was not taken for credit transfer. It still showed up as credit/grade on the transcript at the original institution, but I didn't transfer to my school after I got into college. This means that it doesn't need to be listed on AMCAS, right? Thanks!

It DOES have to be listed. Any college credit must be listed. Oh, and I got screwed over by this one 😡 Hope you at least did well in it!

Gotta list it.

Really? Even though I was still in high school when I enrolled? I don't think so. Besides, it was not meant to be taken for credit, and I never transferred it. There is no way for them to find out anyway.

I took dual enrollment classes in high school too. It doesn't matter if it was used to transfer. It needs to be included.

I don't think it will be too bad. In the grand scheme of things, it won't be a ton of credits in comparison to the rest of your college courses. Plus, med schools will see that they (or it - sorry, unsure of how many classes we're talking about) were taken in high school.

#1 List the course, even if you did horribly, you can easily explain that you were in fact in highschool at the time, and have your undergrad GPA to show for it.

#2 Be careful of what you say in public forums, if indeed you plan to dodge listening it and don't want any medical school to find out
