How many people are accepted into a program the first time they apply?

Not sure how this question can even be answered, unless we could get everyone that has ever applied to come on here and answer. Maybe you could do a poll. Just ask ...Were you accepted the first time you applied? Yes or No

I'll tell you that for me, I applied to one school and was accepted on early admission the first time I applied.

I agree, it really depends. I didn't get accepted the first time applied to 5 schools, but I got accepted the second time; I applied to 16 completely different schools (didn't apply to the same 5 as the first time). So would I be a repeat applicant? or a first time applicant for those 16 prigrams?

I guess I should rephrase it as, how many people are accepted as a first-time applicant (first PTCAS applicant). But thanks for responding!

I was really hoping that I would be accepted to my first choice school through early decision, but after going to their advising session, it isn't looking too good 🙁

my first choice is cal state long beach. I'm hoping to do that with early decision. then i'm also applying to cal state northridge, chapman, western u, and azusa pacific. I'm trying to stay in southern california if you can't tell, haha!

Yes, I was a first time applicant, applied to 3 schools and got accepted to 2 of them and waitlisted at the 3rd (that accepts very few outside candidates since they have a 3+3 program, so I wasn't too upset about that, they were my backup anyway!)

I was accepted my first time applying. My only interview too lol. Applied to 2 schools.
