I want to apply for the coming cycle. I plan to submit TMDSAS and AMCAS right when they open...but I am taking my MCAT in August 16 right after I finish the Ultimate MCAT course. I assume the results will be out in 4 weeks...Will I ok for this cycle? My stats are very competitive cGPA 3.87

Your MCAT score won't be released until mid-September, so you won't be complete at schools until then. That is considered a mid- to late-cycle application. People will already be interviewing while you're submitting secondaries, you won't get interview invites until Oct/Nov/Dec, and you could be interviewing into the spring. I was complete at most of my schools in mid-Sept/early-Oct, and I'll be waiting for some decisions into April.

I'd say you'd be okay, but it's not the most ideal.

EDIT: This goes for AMCAS. I don't know anything about TMDSAS.

Thats pretty late for the TMDSAS considering a lot of people submit their applications in May/June. I would say its possible to do ok in the cycle submitting that late but even with a great application, schools in Texas start interviewing in early August so you might be getting some of the last interview spots if you interview at all.

I plan on taking the July 6th date get scores back the first few days of Aug. Yours is a tad late for TMDSAS like other people say, but no one really knows if it's ok it all depends on if they want you

Being complete in Texas in September sounds really late to me and a tad late for AMCAS schools too. Like others have said, no one really knows if you'll be ok but I wouldn't take the risk personally. Why don't you just study for the MCAT on your own?
