I got a C- on two of the preq courses for pharmacy schools🙁. Since I graduated from U of M already. I am not going to repeat these two classes. Is this an automatic disqualification for most pharmacy schools since they required a C or better. I am really worry about this. It also distracts me from study for my PCAT this coming oct month. Please give me some insight. Thank you.

If you're not going to repeat them, I think you're going to be out of luck.

Just a random sampling of various Pharmacy schools produce similar results to Mercer's page:

Grades below "C" cannot be accepted toward completion of these requirements.

C- is below "C" as you well know... so short of academic forgiveness or re-taking it somewhere else? You're up a creek.

You will have to check the specific requirements at each school you are planning to apply to. I know that most of the ones I checked out did not accept C-'s. So, I took the one class I got a C- in over again so as not to limit my opportunities. If their websites aren't specific enough, call or email the schools and ask them. As for the PCAT, don't let this distract you now because it is just around the corner. Keep studying and after you take it you can do more research on your options (such as where you could retake the classes if you have to...). Good luck on the PCAT!

I got a D in a preq course from an university, and I am retaking the class at a cc. Don't the C- distract you; you have more to show than just the C-. Stay focus on the PCAT, and you can always retake the classes.
