Hey there!

I remember when I was in High School and making resumes for potential side jobs, I always put in an "Objectives" or "Summary" section describing sort of who I was and what I wanted to do.

I'm polishing up my resume to send to my professors so they can write me a better letter of recommendation, and I was wondering if I still need that section/ what should I write?

yep its called the professional experience section
start getting all the dates/supervisor's names/numbers and names of orgs/places of employment down as they might check a few of those to check if you really worked/volunteered/shadowed there etc
also make sure to prepare the short blurb of a description of what you did at whichever org/dental office/work place
