I've turned in a bunch of secondaries within a few days, however after talking to my premed committee they said their letter packet or whatever they are doing won't be done for a week or two. Will the schools consider that I've turned the secondaries in within 2 weeks (I was trying to show interest?) or not look at my application at all until the LORs are in?

My teachers turned my LORs into my committee in MAY. So I don't have any control over whatever they are doing over there and am getting kinda worried... anyways, thanks! sorry if this was asked before.

yup. same thing happening to me. your file is not complete till the LOR's come in. i was pumping out essays too, and then realized this, so now I just write all my essays in word and every day go back and tidy them up. no point turning them in so fast, just make sure they are quality.

even if your committee letter gets in early next month, you're still considered early. i would say check in on them once a week to nudge them along, but no need to get antsy yet.

Best not to worry too much about things out of your control (that will make you go crazy in this process.) You will be fine as the schools will see that you submitted the essays/other stuff early to show interest. They understand to some extent that LORs are out of your control from my limited experiences anyway. Short answer: it will be fine 🙂

Thanks, you guys are awesome. 🙂 I've been contacting them every week and they keep saying... next week. SDN makes it so easy to worry about things beyond your control. I guess I'll just relax and slow down on the essays.

in two weeks when they get the letters and you're considered complete, you'll still be early. I on the other hand have to wait 6 weeks til school's back in session (summer's almost gone already??) and the committee meets again.
