hi,

so i just recently found out about these SMP programs and I think that they are wonderful opportunities to improve one's science gpa. However, I have one question...do these programs admit applicants with <3.0 science gpas and >3.0 overall gpas?

cheers.

SMPs don't improve one's sGPA in UG.

If we want to be extremely general then yes there are cases/programs that do admit students with those stats.

I'd suggest if you want a definite answer to be a bit more transparent and thick skinned and list your stats/programs you wish to attend.

right now, i am a junior and my cum. gpa is around 3.2 and my sci gpa is around a 2.8...i plan on applying to these programs as soon as possible. my top choice right now is umdnj newark, and BU MAMS

and just out of curiosity. for those who attended the 1 year masters programs...what do you guys recommend doing in the year time frame before attending dental/medical school?

It is definitely possible.

Many people decide to get jobs, do some research, take a year to do full-time volunteering..
