If you're applying this cycle and have supplemental essays to write, take advantage of programs' mission & vision statements on their website! Mission & vision statements are a direct window into the personal characteristics a program is seeking in their applicants.

Just tie in your experiences as a Pre-PT to the general virtues they discuss. Here's some examples of general virtues programs are often based around:

1. Diversity
2. Academics/research
3. Serving the community
4. Leadership

Not enough people take advantage of the opportunity that supplemental essays present. If a program offers supplemental essays, they are by far the #1 way for you to stand out to that program! Mission & vision statements are the perfect tool to learn what to focus on when writing them.
