I quit my dental lab job after I got an interview. It felt awesome.
Well three weeks left for me still.. butcant wait to be done! Want to get my summer started and find an apartment that I can live in for the next 4 YEARS!!!!
My last day at work will be in one week, then I have a few planned trips and a summer long of relaxation while living off my gf before school starts.
Great idea! Enjoy!!

Gave my work my quitting day!! Man I can't wait to be done here.. counting down the days![]()
congratulations!!!!
I remember giving my employer 1 month notice.... I actually had cold-feet quitting. Took me like 2+ months to finally build the courage and quit my career (software engineer).
My employer just found out I'm leaving tonight. I wasn't going to tell them yet, but someone asked me about graduation, and my manager was like, "so does that mean your leaving?" My last day will depend on when I move, but i'll probably make it July 31 even if I don't leave until mid-August. Give myself a little break.

I'm getting married about 2 weeks after I quit, have some trips planned, then livin off my sugar momma throughout dental school!
Counting down every last day... only 60 remain 😀
quitting day can not come any sooner! I wish I could quit now but Ill need the extra money. Unless someone wants to give me a couple thousand they have laying around?
congratulations!!!!

thats a pretty hot skillset in todays I.T market.... You can probably clear 100-120k easy if you were willing to relocate.
Wait... screw that.... dental profession > sitting infront of a PC screen

I know exactly what you mean. But the problem is i hate working under someone. I hate listing to stuff about how they want to make it work even after i propose a better solution.
I can earn more in Dental than i can ever earn in software field. It takes while to climb the ladder in that field + stability is not so good. working for a company where you cant make any difference or you dont matter is a pretty crappy thing.
It not much as sitting in front of a pc thing for me. than having the ability to make a change. For ex. the program that i am currently working on will be very useful for next 3-5 years then something new will come up. all the work i did goes in the recycle bin or vanishes into thin air. where as if i were in a medical or dental field i can see the difference that i am making in this world and to realize that my work do have meaning.
All I do all day at work is think about how excited i am to be done and to move on with life. Most of the time i am cruising around here looking for interesting stuff. oh well. I am sure in six months I am going to be wishing for some down time with nothing to do.

👍 ...although in six months I will still be happier to be in dental school than at my dead end job where I have about 6 different bosses!

quote!! Absolutely agree

Corporate ladders suck! I have been on a couple and it was never a fulfilling job. I was definately happier when I was self employed. Delivering mail isn't to bad right now because I know there is an end in sight, plus it pays really well. I definitely couldn't see myself at that job for twenty years.
Last day august 12th
Gave notice january 5th
