R S Configuration question.

Can you apply R and S absolute configurations to these 3 molecules. THanks. Attached as a word document.

but the correct answer is

...and I have no clue why thats the right answer. Any help?

this is from topscore and they havnt changed this answer in over 2 years so this has to be right since everyone has topscore and no one has said anything yet. so im assuming theres something about applying configuration to 2d projections that im not getting...

nvrmnd, i think i figured it out. these are supposed to be fischer proections, even though theres a carbon drawn in there and the lines dont "cross".
